Ruedy2000
I 'm currently messing around with Facelight Plus SE i had many problems with CTDs and started to edit the mod. I just want to be able to activate the facelight for selected NPCs or the player character. I removed all skripts files as entries in the esp and added two object effects and two rings. One ring to ... Ah Sorry, made that joke at wedding, too  One ring the for bright facelight and one for the darker facelight. Everything seams fine, player character can equip it, follower can equip it and it just works.... Up to five actors, guess what i want it for six actors. Of Course i could create a complete copy with renamed effects and files but that seams lame. I have found other mods doing the same but they all have the same problem. The effect can only be active on five characters. There must be a way arround this. I have the fealing there must be an actor limit for magic effects. If anyone could point me in the right direction or has some informations, i would be very happy. Otherwise there will be Facelight Mini SSE and Facelight Light Mini 2 SSE in my game. Ruedy2000
It's no problem with the magic effect. It's a problem with the game engine. The engine will only render five lightsources (even less if they cast shodows) in the same cell!
Evangela
Shadow casters are limited to 3.
maxarturo
Shadow casting lights are limited to 3 when they are render simultaneously, you can add as many 'shadow casting' lights as you want as long as no more than 3 are render at the same time from any given angle ( FOV ). Evangela
You're right and it's actually 4 according to the bethesda's tutorial on lights.
maxarturo
And..., you are right, they are 4 and not 3, that's what you get for posting without thinking... * It's a good thing that there are experienced modders to correct one another.
