that tells me what mod is crashing my game???

I know its a long shot but Ive tried turning mods of/on deleting em but so far no joy.Be so much easier (and very unlikely I know) if there was a tool that lets me know where my skyrim is falling over.

Im not expecting anyone to trawl through my load order which according too BOSS is correct, but gonna post in case theres anything that stands out to you regulars...

Nope, there are no tools that will tell you exactly why you CTDs (because there are too many causes of CTDs). But there are various tools that, when combined with troubleshooting methods, might help narrow down on the causes of CTDs.

I won't 'trawl' through your load order, but if you replace it with a BOSS log (with the messages), including the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated, and enclose them all in spoiler tags so they don't clutter the screen, then I will look through it and see if anything is amiss.

Also, can you describe your CTDs with more details? When, how often, where, what you were doing (combat, with followers), anything that might suggest a 'pattern.'

ello ripple! no theres no pattern I can see.Crashes in dungeons,in villages in openland anywhere and I could be doing anything. One thing that does stand out tho is that it does enjoy crashing when I quicksave, again not always but it might be a catylast for the crashing I dont know.I also suffer sometimes with purple textures(armour, weapons, trees etc),this definetley causes it crash. Not immediteley but unless I exit too the main meun and reload my save it will crash....but again it will still crash with no purple textures.

but being inside seems to cause a lot less CTD's,which is a real pain cause I dont fast travel. So yea CTD's seem to be a lot more likely when Im outside.

I have rjust run TES5edit and jaysus swords is giving me a LOT of 'weapon out of order' errors

I know its a bit long but its just the same warning over and over.Kinda scared to turn jaysus swords off tho cause I have couple weapons from it that I dont wanna loose, but the crashing is making my current game unplayable so might have too try.

1) Cleaning: download TES5Edit from that link, follow the instructions on the page, and clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing "dirty edits", including the DLCs and the patch esm. You'll need to remove identical to master entries as well as undelete/disable deleted references.

2) Maintainence: go through the BOSS log and look for error messages like the one displayed for 'Jaysus Swords', then attend to them. In the case of Jaysus Swords, you can download the 'fix patch' provided by the link, but I believe someone (not Jaysus) has recently attempted to fix all the errors and upload an updated version so a 'fix patch' is no longer necessary. You'll need to search for it on the Nexus. Re-run BOSS every time you uninstall/install mod.

3) If you are using the Hi-Res DLC pack, you should probably also download the 'unofficial Hi-Res DLC patch' by the USKP team.

4) This is not related to your CTDs, but since you are using a number of 'add more items to NPCs' mods that edits the same leveled lists (e.g. immersive armour, the cloak mods, Jaysus Swords NPC distribution plugin, etc.), you should download Wrye Bash and generate a Bashed Patch to merge the conflicting leveled lists edits.

5) The texture issues, do they occur consistently with the same weapons/armour or does it happen randomly, and progressively the longer your game session?

6) There may be multiple reasons why your game CTDs. Given the size of your load order, I recommend you uninstall SkyTest. SkyTest is prone to causing CTDs in the worldspace when installed in a large load order (as indicated in the mod description by the author). When I had it in my load order, it was responsible for almost all of my random CTDs outdoors.

7) CTD during saving is not a good sign. Have you made any edits to the game ini files? What's your system specs?

8 ) The plugins not recognized by BOSS, every time you run BOSS, they go to the bottom of the load order, and will override conflicting edits by mods loaded earlier. The most reliable way to deal with them is to load all of your plugins in TES5Edit and check to see if the unrecognized plugins contain conflicting records with the other plugins in your load order. If they don't, then you can load them any where above your compatibility patches (e.g. the Bashed Patch). If they do contain conflicting edits, then you will have to decide who should 'win' the contest of conflicts (plugins loaded later override conflicting records of plugins loaded earlier in the load order). Alternatively, you can uninstall the unrecognized mods so you don't have to deal with all this aggravation.

cheers ripple I cleaned them dirty edits and game seems a LOT smoother and I went a whole hour without one crash.Still trying too clean up my BOSS list tho,and slowly learning how too use wyre bash......bit scared of it the edits seem a bit final so gonna read up on what mods i should BASH.Gonna delete skytest and just keep fiddling and see what mods I can do witout cause I reckon some of these issues are due to my old system and me being a mod addict.

cheers again Ive nearly got skyrim stable again :D

No problem. Bash Patch generation in Wrye Bash is automated. You don't need to manually bash tag mods as it will be done for you automatically the first time you run BOSS if you also have Wrye Bash installed. Basically, you just need to build a Bashed Patch that will merge conflicting leveled lists (which Wrye Bash will automatically detect for you, using the bash tags). It's a 3-click process and won't edit any of the plugins in your load order.
