How do I make the BitterCap companion essential?

I recently downloaded the bittercap companion mod and wanted to know how to turn her to essential. The readme said something about a "tactics menu" but I have no idea what that is.

 

If someone could tell me how that would be great. Thanks for reading.

Open the mod with GECK.

Find the NPC named Bittercup.

Then click "essential" on the NPC window.

Quite easy.

uh, bit of a problem

 

I essentailed her in GECK and saved it as "bittercapessential". but now when I enter the building shes in the game crashes :/

talk to bittercup, ask her about her tactics

 

you should get an option... how tought are you? (something like that)

select it and you should get the option to make her essential

You don't need to change the mod in the G.E.C.K,

the choice to make her essential is already built into the Bittercup Companion mod - if that is the one you are using.

 

Restore the everything as it was - delete the crashing mod you created.

 

Just talk to her, and choose:

 

"Let's talk about tactics.."

and

"How tough are you?"

 

You can't miss it.

 

That's assuming you actually managed to install the mod correctly the first time... and made her your follower ofc.

Pardon me for suggesting the GECK modification then. I didn't know the mod had that option.
