OOO 1.33 and Lighting Problem

I just installed OOO 1.33 with Oblivion, Shivering Isles and Knights. There are no other mods installed.

I started a new game/character. I noticed that during the intro "dungeon crawl" everything was brighter. The first time I did this, without OOO, I had to use torches to see anything - now sewers, caves, etc are bright as day.

This wasn't really a problem, just kills the "reality".

The problem is that above ground, especially in towns, everything is too bright! The contrast is off - wherever sun shines on a building it is washed out, lights on faces - too bright. I tried adjusting the brightness on the control slider and that gave everything a sepia tone - but the contrast was still off.

One thing about the installation that I may have got wrong. I used the .exe install and it placed all the files in a /DATA/OOO/ folder. When I went to "activate" the mod on starting Oblivion, the folder/mod files were not listed, only the Shivering, Knights and Oblivion files showed. I moved all the files and folders from OOO to the main DATA folder and everything loaded correctly - I least I thought it did.

Any help would be great.
