rsugar
First off, that's an M16 and if you are going to call an m16 simply "US Assualt Rifle", you're going to piss off a ton of people. Second off, if you send me the texture and the model and I'll fix it up in nifskope for you.
tyokio
Thanks for the offer, but I've managed to sort out the problem now. not 100% sure what caused the issue, it could have been a number of things. I only call it a "US Assault Rifle" because of a few reasons. It allows me to add any design features I want to the model so it becomes more my own design rather then an attempt at a copy. Secondly, I don’t want the mod to be knocked down by gun fanatics because the "nozzle isn’t right" or the "clip button is too low" because for some reason it means that much to them. If they choose to get pissed off about it, then that’s their own problem and they should go try modelling it themselves to see how "easy" it is. (link) Also I attempted to model that picture I posted earlier, implemented it into the game too. I was thinking, because I couldn’t have a grenade launcher or anything I decided I'd be a little creative and added a pipe going towards the tube, making the weapon "over clocked" (which is probably impossible in real life lol) Tried it in game and it was way too powerful lol. I believe its going to clip a bit too much but if I add a hole in the middle some where the hand should fit right. and in the end I can easly add a version with out piping if people dont like the look of that. SpeedyB64
Very cool gun! I like the drum mag, its something different.
tyokio
thats what I loved about it too, it made me think I could allow the weapon to have a much larger capacity and because I'm not aiming for realism here I could increase the shots per secound. I will have to make the weapon weaker as a result, and perhaps I'd make the bullets 5mm rather then 5.56mm.... its difficult to get loads of 5.56mm ammo any way so its probably for the best. SpeedyB64
That sounds good to me, as long as its properly balanced. A gun that fires fast and has less reloading would be fun to use.

Psycho Mantis
It might be possible to add a grenade launcher if you made the rifle and launcher two weapons that used the same model. The rifle would be selectable in the inventory, and by pressing a predefined button when the rifle is equipped, the game could load the grenade launcher weapon. Probably too much work for such a small result.

The 5mm ammo allready exists in the game though, the minigun uses it.... unless its called something else and I'm mistaken. But yeah, it will use the same ammo as the minigun because it seriously eats ammo for breakfast when I was testing it out. Psycho Mantis: that sounds like it would work, it would probably have to be scripted so its added to the inventory when you equip the gun. I wouldnt be able to do it though because Im a rubbish scriptor : D
Ralkahn
a script could be made. Correction: a script HAS been made. Just needs to be adapted from Balor's original example: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1446 Psycho Mantis: that sounds like it would work, it would probably have to be scripted so its added to the inventory when you equip the gun. I wouldnt be able to do it though because Im a rubbish scriptor : D So am I, but I managed to make something out of the aforementioned. I would suggest giving it a try. Hell, if nothing else, it's a learning experience, right?
343guiltymc
Are you making a non scope version? Cause I like to see a flattop version.
