Dragon souls not registering

Hi,

I have finally got my skyrim vr setup looking and playing amazingly and butter smooth. You can imagine my horror when I encountered this game-breaking bug on my first playthrough.

Whenever I kill a dragon, it plays the soul absorbing animation and says "dragon soul absorbed," but no dragon soul registers in the UI and I am unable to unlock shouts because I have no souls available.

If anyone can suggest some troubleshooting or knows a fix, I would be very grateful.

EDIT - Even after adding souls with the console commands, it still says "dragon souls are required to unlock shouts."

SOLVED - After suddenly remembering a similar issue I had years ago, I realised that I was pressing the wrong button. Top tip: don't slap your forehead in VR. It is bad for your HMD.
