Rivet City Expansion

Why hasn't anyone tried to add more compartments to Rivet (aside from a player apartment)? Even a small carrier like that should be able to house 800 people or so. Modern American super carriers like the Nimitz class have ship's companies of over 2,000 men and air wings of over 2,000 men for a total of over 4,000 people all together! Not to mention the fact that most of the parts of the ship you would have expected to see aren't there, like the engine/reactor rooms, the hangars (aside from the one that the market's in), the munitions magazines, etc.

How about hangars converted to indoor hydroponic gardens with big banks of flourescents to light them? They've got to have some way to grow food, as they're in the most inhospitable part of the Capitol Wasteland, and you can't expect a couple trade caravans to sustain that kind of population.

What about adding some of the service shops with skilled mechanics to fix your stuff?

How about fully loaded admiral's quarters with lots of wood panelling, fancy cabinetry and 50's style TV monitors and stuff?

Wouldn't it be fun to turn one of the fresh water holding tanks into a public swimming pool? Bigger than an Olympic swimming pool and, thanks to the previous work on Project Purity, no rads!

You could even put relevant merchants in certain parts of the ship, like Flak and Shrapnel in one of the magazines, Gary's Galley in the galley, Muddy rudder in the officer's lounge, other food and edibles merchants in the hydroponics bays...

And why aren't there double or quad barrel 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft guns to mow down the occasional super mutant hordes?

In conclusion, I think the interior of Rivet City really needs to be expanded to roughly 4 or 5 times it's current size as well has having more amenities, traders, tons more npcs, etc. If it's the biggest civilization in the wastes why is it's population comparable to Megaton and Tenpenny? The market should be packed with 100 or so npcs all through the open hours!
