spontaneite
In a couple months I'm going to be shelling out about £1000 (about $1500 I believe) for a new laptop/PC. I'll be using it for Uni work, but of course I want good performance because I play Skyrim a lot and I'm sick of playing at 5FPS on my current laptop. I know that desktops are better for gaming than laptops, but for several reasons a laptop is far more convenient for me. So I want to ask if the laptop I have my eye on would be able to play Skyrim on high or max settings with lots of mods at a good speed. Here is the laptop I'm thinking. The processor is "Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM processor (2.4 GHz, 3.1 GHz with TurboBoost, 6 MB L3 Cache)"Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M, 2 GB GDDR3And it has a good 16gig RAM going for it. I'm not particularly computer savvy. Does that sound like it could run Skyrim and other demanding games well? Or should I really think about investing in a desktop, despite the convenience issues for me?
Azakiel
That spec should be able to cope fairly well with Skyrim, although it couldn't hurt to google around for performance optimising ini tweaks as well. spontaneite
Right. Thanks for your help...would I be able to run ENB on it? I've wanted to use ENB ever since I first heard of it but it hasn't been possible because of my laptop's performance issues.
Azakiel
To be honest I've never used ENB myself, but I imagine that whichever ENB you choose to use will probably list some kind of system requirement to help people tweak the enb settings. You could always send a message to the creator of your chosen enb setup and ask for some advice
