Thandal
jobra888 has received a formal warning. This user has now received 1 formal warnings. The warning was given for the following reason: Arguing Staff Actions using the Image Share.Your misuse of the Public Image Share is what got you an Informal Warning to begin with. Using it again to argue about that Staff Action just earned you a Formal Warning. If you aren't familiar with our Terms of Service and the various limitations and posting rules, perhaps you should re-read them so that you don't get yourself in more trouble.(And no, there's no special exemption from the rules just because the activity occurred in the Oblivion, and not the Skyrim area.) Original Image Share post that was removed with an Informal Warning being issued: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/wastebin/933410-1364859143.jpgHere's the Informal Warning, publically posted by the recipient as a complaint about that action.Plus the entire comment history: Info for allhttp://oblivion.nexusmods.com/wastebin/933410-1365189294.jpg >>>>>>>>That's a superbad case of misunderstanding (and a little totalitarian - meaning you seem to be able to do very little in your defense, which reminds me of the old times down in my country). Have you tried to explain how the whole concept and the discussion below this image contributed to and served as a means to the primary ideals of this site (which I always thought was creating valuable mods, and not private kingdoms)? Although I've got an uncomfortable feeling that this time it's... safer to just let it go. But it's a very uncomfortable feeling. Besides, if the image section is not to be used as an advertising channel for your mods, then what is it for? For uploading images of suggestive underage hentai porn (that never seems to have been removed)? Or solely for romantic sunsets, butterflies and deers? It's exactly where I've learned of most of the mods I'm using (including this one, that I was more than happy to test, and didn't need much persuasion to do so). I just wish we all were more humans, and less of corporate utilities - especially in sections less frequently visited than skyrimnexus. I can see how observing strict rules may be necessary in the overcrowded skyrim section, but can't understand how it's beneficial for largely abandoned Oblivion. I hope someone from Nexus Staff reads it and stops for a moment to think about it. In response to post #7757726. I 100% agree with you Mac In response to post #7757726. #7757856 is also a reply to the same post.thanks my friends and you're right mac .. but for me it's already history; what I find good though is that you now get informed why something got deleted .. You are permitted to state your case to a moderator or Dark0ne in a PM. What you are NOT allowed to do is argue moderation decisions in the open forum. Also as things go an informal warning is exactly what it said..a nudge or a reminder to review the rules. If you had a mod you were working on then the forum is a place to discuss it, however linking to outside sites that you manage or own is something that isn't necessarily permitted. I would also suggest you review the Terms of Service and Forum Rules. As per the ToS:Nexus site staffNexus sites are owned and maintained by Robin Scott (member name "Dark0ne"). Robin is regarded as “the law” on Nexus sites and he has the final say on any action that might need to be taken regarding a breach of the terms of service for any Nexus site. What Robin says goes irrespective of whether there has been a breach of the terms of service or not.Nexus sites and the forums are staffed by un-paid volunteers (known as “moderators” and "staff") who work hard to insure the smooth operation of Nexus sites and encourage a healthy community. The moderators and other admin on the site have been given specific privileges by Robin to keep the site clean of the bad articles listed in these terms and use their own personal judgement, that Robin trusts, to come to decisions. These moderators have a right to carry out their task without harassment, insult or hassle. Members who believe that a member of staff is not conducting themselves properly should get in contact with Robin via the forums or email. Know that if Robin receives word of any members harassing or being rude to Nexus site staff then he will take every action possible to permanently remove them from his sites. If you have questions as to what happened (if you don't know what is going on I am not sure its fair to throw it out here for people to perhaps misunderstand further....and I don't know as I did not handle it but would be happy to find information out for you..via the correct way by PM) or wish to protest then you do it by PM. This is not the way and I would suggest that you move any further conversation on this matter to staff or Dark0ne.~Lisnpuppy I looked at your warning and it appears that Thandal handled the report. It would be wise to politely PM him and questions or concerns. However I believe at least part of the issue is that your image was just a sign asking for recruits. There was no screenshot of a mod...just a sign basically. Also it appears you had a outside link to mediafire there for perhaps your wip. If you want help with a mod then use the forums. This is what it is for. You can even publish an article giving great detail to what you are doing and what you need...which I think that would be more helpful to you. Then once someone is interested you can provide them with the download information. Again this is just what I am thinking...only Thandal would be able to confirm this. Confirmed. :armscrossed: As Lisnpuppy observed, if you have a problem with something the Staff have done, take it up with the Staff, or Dark0ne himself. In private.
