NMM keeps adding extra file path causing problems

So for some reason NMM keeps wanting to add an extra /data to the file path then says cannot detect skyrim.esm file well thats cause its only in C:\Program Files (x86)\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data so if i copy the esm file in the extra data folder NMM wants to create it will work but the mods won't load in game unless i copy them to the original location but this defeats the purpose of NMM.

You need to change the directory NMM thinks Skyrim is installed at. It's been told (through it's automatic process or manual input) that your \data\ folder is the root Skyrim directory...

I did Changed it around a couple of times but when i direct it to the correct location C:\Program Files (x86)\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data NMM will add an extra \data and then says it an't find the skyrim.esm file

Cut off the "\data" at the end of that filepath.
