MaiYass
I use Tale of Two Wasteland in FNV, which comes with YUP out of the box. I also use mods that need compatibility patches with YUP, however since I don't have the specific "YUP - Base Game + All DLC" ESM, I get that damned missing master file error, even though I technically do have YUP. Is there a way to have this error not occur? Edited February 7, 2021 by TomSkele
dubiousintent
TTW includes its own YUP file version called YUPTTW.esm. Try renaming it to what your mods are looking for (though you should check if the mod is on the incompatibles list). If that doesn't work (breaking other plugins), try using a renamed copy (so you are actually loading it twice under different names). As the actual records will be the same, that should just use up a plugin slot. Another option is to merge the patches into the master plugin in FNV, and then use that merged plugin in TTW. Please see the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article for details. To address the actual title question: "No". A "master file" has records that the plugin requires. The game engine examines each mods "master files" and then checks to see those files are already loaded. Even if they are in the "load order" but below the plugin looking for them it will spit out that error message, which is why sorting is required. You can't "skip" the error because it is considered a "fatal error". -Dubious-
