sumoftwosins Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Bah... my master file... esp or esm vanished. I have no clue what happened. I was working on the geck a few hours ago and opened again, but now my fallout3 file is missing. WTF?
Skree000 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I would reinstall F3 to a new folder then just copy it over from there (fresh install, different folder) It should be the same unchanged master file
sumoftwosins Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Thank goodness for Steam. Attempted to start the game and it repaired itself. Still though, I'm curious as to what happened. It wasn't deleted and a search of all my drives found nothing.

Baelkin Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I've accidentally deleted my Fallout3.esm a few times when cleaning up my Data folder, so that might have been what happened. Usually data doesn't just disappear on its own and the most common cause for data disappearing in the first place is sitting 40 cm away from the keyboard. :D
