Rating System for Mod Install Difficulty

I would like to suggest some type of rating system that would quickly indicate an experience rating required for installing a given mod. The experience rating could be set by the mod authors and/or possibly voted on by mod users. Kinda similar to how the tags system works.

 

As some mods are easily installed simply with copy/paste or NMM (Easy/Moderate Difficulty), some mods require other mods as a prerequisite or an entirely different process to install all together thereby increasing the required knowledge on the mod users part to get the mod installed (Experienced/Advanced Difficulty). There could be three or four steps of increasing difficulty rating, Easy to Advanced.

 

I suggest this due to the type of post I am seeing more and more frequently in various mod pages. The type of post that immediately indicates the poster has no or very little experience with installing mods and is trying to install a mod that requires advanced knowledge of how mod installation works (ie: the various tools required, load orders and installation procedures).

 

As most experienced mod users should know, most mods are made the way they are for a specific reason due to game engine requirements or other limitations. Possibly a Difficulty Rating could help remedy some of the apparent shock that some users express when a given mod is dependent on another mod or tool in order to be installed and work properly.

 

As to how easy/hard or viable this would be to implement, I do not know.
