ExaltedExile2019
Awhile ago I had downloaded mods that brought armour and weapons from Mordhau into Skyrim, they were great but it became very clear to me that the mods were used more for posing and screenshots and so I began making the mod work better in a proper Skyrim playthrough. After a few months, I have everything set up, however there is one issue that I am unsure of. I didn't notice until I started this new game and put on some of the helmets: It might be hard to see, but the helmets are on and there is no hair underneath. I looked to the vanilla helmets to see if biped slots were the cause but I have more or less selected the same slots. I hope someone can give me some pointers or provide possible causes for this. In case anyone does ask, I would very much like to upload this mod so others can try it, however this is not my mod and I have sent an email to the mod creators for permission to upload it but they have yet to respond and I have no desire to upload without the creator's permission. Also I have a suspicion that uploading this mod may get me in legal trouble in regards to the assets belonging to a different company.
Hanaisse
For hair to show with a hat/helmet, the partition in the nif should be SBP_31_Hair, and the ArmorAddon and Armor records biped slot just 31. ExaltedExile2019
I opened up the helmets in Nifskope and saw that the helmets that should have hair showing have a hair mesh already applied. It seems that my issue is the result of me missing the texture for the hair. Thanks for the help, probably should have checked Nifskope first
thumbincubation
I don't think I have this mod, but I noticed some of the Vaultman helm mods have what amounts to a hood underneath. You might be able to get away with doing a mesh mashup with the vanilla leather hat, to act as a helmet liner.
