sound question

Hi guys,

 

Me again with a question.

 

I'm modding a weapon using a custom sound, ive successfully placed it in the game with the weapon and when i fire it it makes the sound but then it becomes distorted and stops while i'm continuing to fire.

 

Could anyone help me with this issue? Do I need to edit the actual sound file in a program to make it sound correctly in the game?
