Torches don't work?

I did a little something with my load order today, and when I played, torches stopped working. I can see my character raise his arm like holding a torch, but there's nothing in his hand. No torch, no light.

 

However when I equip a torch and then throw all the torches away, I can see them on the ground, lit. With this I belive there's nothing wrong with the meshes/textures. I didn't do anything to modify these things anyway.

 

So what could have gone wrong?

 

I'll get a screenshot later if anyone finds my description confusing.
