psycoredelic
Well, hello there. While I was playtesting a child race and roleplayed it as a street child I was wondering why there isn't already such a mod. There are mods for dancing, playing instruments and singing to get some coin. But I couldn't find anything like this here or on other sites ... Begging! The concept is fairly easy, using maybe a lesser power called "begging" would make you sit down and NPCs would decide if they want to give you a coin from time to time or not (or more than one if they have enough and are generous). Also a simple dialogue option where you can actively beg for a coin like other beggars doing it in the game. Well, this are MY ideas for something like this.I think a moderate modder could do something like this pretty easily. Thoughts?
littleork
Well I dont know how to do for the sitting animation spell but adding an option to ask for a gold coin, let say once every hour could be very easily done.
psycoredelic
Well, yeah. But I think there should be a chance you don't get money from that npc, they should have to think about it based on certain aspects (money they have, personality, how much they already spend in a certain time etc.) Guards may threat you to put you in jail if you keep asking them (getting angry) or some richer or conceited npcs who don't even want to speak to beggars. littleork
Having a chance of them not giving it would also be easy to do and has to be there imo, you could give a few criterias that the game would look at such as the player speechcraft, disposition of the npc, relationship etc. You can also put it as there is 1 chance out of 5 that they give you a gold piece+ a timer before which you can ask a npc again. I could do a mod like that pretty easily if we keep the options simple. Sorry for my non-perfect english
littleork
Alright I already have a working beggar mod, the amount of gold you can get from begging get higher as your speechcraft is higher(to a max of 20gold), there is a chance of them refusing and you can only ask 1 npc every 30 mins ( maybe get it up to an hour?) It doesnt look like the disposition stat can be used as a condition so I have to scratch that, also considering adding the option that you cannot beg unless you have less than 500g or something like that. psycoredelic
Having a chance of them not giving it would also be easy to do and has to be there imo Well, I don't really have an idea - never really used the CK by myself. But I'm pretty sure NPCs can detect your armor / clothing you're wearing (sort of, more the type), so you shouldn't be able to beg with something better than iron, leather / fur / hide etc. and if possible not with the better clothings. A limit per NPC should be maybe 2 or 3 times per day (with the risk of railing 2 or 3 times and get nothing from this one), with a limit of 10 gold if you have a high speechcraft (but still depending on the npcs "mood") which also should go up while begging. The whole chance in getting coins shouldn't be too high, living in Skyrim is hard for everyone and not everyone is such a nice person. A MCM config would be even better so people could go with their own tastes but that's a bit more complex I think. Just found this on steam: http://steamcommunit...tails/?id=10237 Weird stuff, I searched Nexus, Steam, Google and other sites for begging, beggar, beg etc. and found absolutely nothing. But it sounds a bit TOO simple for my taste, it should be lore friendly / plausible (realistic is something I don't like to use). Sorry for my non-perfect english I'm surprised someone can read MY nonsense ... :)
