ExodusTransonicMercury Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Hi! Since I started using SSE (I'm unsure it occurred on LE), I've been experiencing times where I receive LOOT messages on the plugins panels.I post it here and not on the LOOT forums because the errors There are been a few mods that acted that way, IIRC in three different manes:- Loot messages telling or recommending me to install SkyUI to enable the MCM of mods (this one is the most common)- Loot messages telling me to install a compatibility patch. For example: WACCF_Armor and Clothing Extension.esp recommanding to use Fixes for Armor and Clothing Extension.- Notifications "plugins dependencies unfulfilled" for incompatible mods. For example: Jk's Skyrim and Great Cities of Skyrim, for which I have installed the compatibility patch. If I had no other similar problem, I would have guessed it was a problem coming from using other mods affecting cities (Skyrim Sewers, Dawn of Skyrim, Great City of Solitude, Enhanced Solitude, Solitude Skyway...) for which I also have (or think to have) all necessary patches. In each case, the mods and patches are installed, in correct load order. It usually happens after adding/removing/moving mods, but isn't always corrected by running LOOT and deploying. The problem comes and goes. I wanted to know if someone else had experienced similar situations, and if there was any setting or fix for it.
HadToRegister Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 You shouldn't be using Standalone LOOT, it's already built into Vortex. Some mods have an MCM Menu that REQUIRES SkyUILoot is telling you the things you need to install to support the mods you have installed, so I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, you need to download and install the things it's telling you that are missing.
ExodusTransonicMercury Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 You shouldn't be using Standalone LOOT, it's already built into Vortex. Thanks!, that was actually a thing I was unsure of. Yes, but SkyUI is installed. As I said, all mods and patches relevant (SkyUI, Jk's Skyrim/Dawn of Skyrim patch, for examples, along with their dependencies) to the messages and notifications are installed. The problem is Vortex tells me, using warnings and Loot messages (that didn't appeared on standalone Loot), that mods and patches are missing, but they're not. Those messages, along with the errors notifications ("plugins dependencies unfilfilled") (this one is always about mods being incompatible despite compatibility patches installed), come and go along the modding/updating process. I'm not sure it is a problem (in the sense, it has an impact): If it's just Vortex that fails to recognize rules and mods in/compatibilities and says so in a message but doesn't actually impact the deployment and game, I can ignore it, but I wanted to ask about it, report it , and see if it could be a sign of a real problem regarding installation/deployment, folders paths, whoknowswhat.
HadToRegister Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Did you install SKSE64?Are the mods you;'re using for Skyrim SE or Skyrim LE?What EXACTLY do the error notifications say?
ExodusTransonicMercury Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 I use SSE, SKSE64 is installed and up to date, the mods relevant to the problem are for SSE, and all requirements and relevant patches are installed. The notification "plugin dependencies unfulfilled" says "Some of enabled plugins have dependencies or incompatibilities that are not obeyed in your current setup: ******* is incompatible with *****". The Loot message tells me "A Mod Configuration Menu is required for this mod to be fully functional. An MCM can be added by installing SkyUI SE".

Well, I have no idea what mod THIS is ------> ********* or how it's incompatible with the other mod named **********
ExodusTransonicMercury Posted February 16, 2021 Author Posted February 16, 2021 Currently, it's "JKs Skyrim.esp" and "The Great Cities - Minor Cities and Towns.esp", but it can be others. The point is the compatibility patch is installed, but isn't always recognized by Vortex, same way Vortex often fails to recognize that SkyUI is installed.
Guest deleted34304850 Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 what do you mean when you say "vortex often fails to recognise that skyui is installed"?that doesn't make any sense.
ExodusTransonicMercury Posted February 16, 2021 Author Posted February 16, 2021 what do you mean when you say "vortex often fails to recognise that skyui is installed"?that doesn't make any sense. It makes sense given the previous messages. I'm repeating myself:SkyUI is installed, Vortex (sometimes) says it isn't and tells me to install it, with the message "A Mod Configuration Menu is required for this mod to be fully functional. An MCM can be added by installing SkyUI SE". Same for some fixes patches and compatibility patches. They are installed, Vortex says they aren't (sometimes), respectively via Loot messages (similar in a way to the SkyUI message) or via the notification "plugin dependencies unfulfilled" ("Some of enabled plugins have dependencies or incompatibilities that are not obeyed in your current setup: [mod A, ex: Jks Skyrim.esp] is incompatible with [mod B, ex: The Great Cities - Minor Cities and Towns.esp".) To be clear: the plugins for SkyUI and patches mentioned in the Loot messages are all present and enabled in the plugins panel, are not part of merged plugins, the load order is correct (according to the authors of patches), and the messages and notifications comes and goes when adding/deploying other (even unrelated) mods. The "check again" option for notifications doesn't.
Guest deleted34304850 Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 here's a question - are you using anything other than vortex to install mods - and/or are you or have you, installed any mods manually?
