MyDogsTale
Goths?hmmm, well, my encounter with goths had mostly been with 15 year old angst followed "gloom and magic goths". which alomost made me sick everytime i met them. But after a long talk with Suzerain on the MEMod channel i decided to look more deeply in the goth (real goth) enviorments in my city...what i found was...undescribable, the one thing i can post here and say is: those people know how to party...and we'll leave it at that :D Real goths are fun...the other kind just sit around a ouja table, moving a glass over some letters whilst they talk about their bad parents (and the parents are probably more fun to drink with :P )...well, cheers! Goth girls in latex beats the hell out of mainstream girls in regular clothes... not quoting me, but rather one of my friends at a "mainstream" party
Cailwyn
Oh, come on, don't be soooo serious, I was just joking. If on the far chance I ever went to England, all my time would be spent at the clubs, the hills of Scotland, Stone Henge(sp?), and the tower of London, not stalking pretty goth chicks. :P *Cailwyn hiding his telephoto lenses, lockpicks and infrared film* :shifty: Actually, it sounds like we have similar tastes in music aside from country western (unless you mean the old stuff like Hank Williams and Martty Robbins) and I don't have absolutely no idea what EBM is. Hip-Hop isn't the only music I listen to, I'm more into classic rock, back when there were actually good lead guitarists! And when it comes to creating music, I mostly play classical guitare and classical sounding rock that doesn't require vocals (Jimmy Page supplies most of this). My favorite part of Goth movement... Vampire: The Masquerade and Wearwolf: the Apocolypse. I love Role Playing, but its rare to find good pen-&-paper RPGs that aren't incredibly shabbly rip-offs of AD&D. Plus the White Wolf system is just playing inovative!! peace P.S. I had a feeling that one was you, pregnant-dogin treads man!!
suzerain
I was just joking. If on the far chance I ever went to England, all my time would be spent at the clubs, the hills of Scotland, Stone Henge(sp?), and the tower of London, not stalking pretty goth chicks. :P so... you'd spend your time in byronic wildernesses of primordial beauty, ancient and mysterious pagan sites of ritual and mystery, and looming 14th century architechture surrounded by death and ancient history... and you're claiming not to be a goth? :P *runs* and yes, I mean the old stuff for country and western - johnny cash, in particular - long before he got fashionably popular by covering nine inch nails. And EBM is Electro-Body-Movement. it's a hardcore industrial techno. very thrashy, snyth and heavy bassline powered music for dancing in clubs.best I can reccommend is to look for mp3s to hear it...best options to look for would be:Covenant: "One World, One Sky"Suicide Commando: "Hellraiser, Psychophile02 remix" or "Hellraiser: VNV Nation mix"Icon of Coil: "Floorkiller" or "Shelter"Front 242 - "Headhunter"orVNV Nation: "Solitary" or "Standing" (bit more melodic) Alternatively, take a look for streaming music from Goteki http://www.mperia.com/displayfull.php?sear...hby=song&id=268for some of the most blinding post-EBM Cybergoth/Electropop that's just comoing out of the UK scene... and if you like that track "metropolicity" try to find the godlike "We Can Rebuild You ($6,000,000 remix)" on MP3 and then buy OS Goteki at www.goteki.com, because they're gods, even if Dr A's left 'em. Darnoc
When talking about Morrowind and Gothic, don't forget that there is acctually a game called Gothic, it is from German origin. Most Gothic players think that Gothic is far better than Morrowind, because of its living world (Gothic players think that Morrowind is boring, the world is dead and the landscapes luck dull). I personally can't really decide which game is acctually better, both have pros and cons. But it is worth playing, so go and buy it!
suzerain
best description I've ever heard of Gothic II was "a singleplayer MMORG". if it were slightly less linear in plot, had decent voice acting (dunno about the german, but english voiceovers were quite poor) and more moddable, it would kill Morrowind easily. Suzerain. Call yourself goths? where were you when we sacked Rome? eh? eh?
