stardruid Posted February 15, 2021 Share Posted February 15, 2021 Is there anyway to install or setup Vortex so it doesn't freak out when I start it up on different computer? AKA make it portable? I've got it and the games it's mods in a 2td ssd external drive that I move between PC and Laptop. Mod Staging folder could also be there - if the game was there also. The part that won't work are the Vortex control files, which live in c:/users/{name}/AppData/Roaming/Vortex. So For like Space engineers the game looks for saves on the C drive but the fiies are really on my external. I can do the same for Vortex. Biggest issue will be making sure the drive letters are the same, so mean update a lot of links etc of my Laptop for the new drive letter. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
