Guest deleted9128150
A short description of my problem: I’ve never had a problem with Skyrim: Special Edition loading up… even with many mods running. It will not open. Period. System Specs:CPU: Intel Core i7 - 950 @ 3.07GHzRAM: 16.0GBSystem: 64-bit / x64-based processorOS: Windows 10 HomeOS drive free space: 81.5GBSkyrim drive free space: 81.0GBVideo Card: eVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 960 Steps Taken to play Skyrim SE: Attempted to start Skyrim with SKSE… Didn’t loadVerified enough disk space on OS drive and Skyrim storage drive…. Didn’t loadUpdated SKSE …. Didn’t loadDisabled all mods…. Didn’t loadRemoved SKSE…. Didn’t loadUpdated Video Card Driver…. Didn’t loadVerified integrity of all Skyrim files… Didn’t loadChecked system for other missing or out of date drivers…. Didn’t loadAttempted to launch via .exe. in Skyrim directory…. Didn’t loadAttempted to launch via Steam Library…. Didn’t loadAttempted to launch via nVidia GeForce Experience (after optimization) …. Didn’t loadChecked Firewall… not blocked….Didn’t loadChecked Anti-Virus… not blocked… Didn’t loadNo viruses foundNo malware foundUninstalled Skyrim SE from Steam... downloaded fresh copy and installed... Didn't load.Changed SkyrimSE.exe & SkyrimSELauncher.exe to "Run As Administrator" under their Properties settings... Didn't load. Skyrim will show up in Task Manager and shows as “Very High Usage” on the Power tab… Skyrim will not “stop” via command in Steam Library In order to stop Skyrim from running in the background, it must be “End Tasked” in the Manager. I don’t know what has gone crazy with this game, but I have NEVER had issues running Skyrim. Aside from a complete uninstall and a painfully long download and reinstall with my horrid internet… is there any other suggestions as to why this might not be working? It's baffling me at every turn. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Edited February 22, 2021 by M0PARMAN
Deleted70562528User
if youre got vortex running try purging mods and reinstall one by one .or try fornes or loot .
Guest deleted9128150
I disabled Vortex, because it seemed to be causing more problems than solving them. I deactivated ALL MODS... so there are none loading when I initialize Skyrim. It's bare-bones right now, but still won't initialize.
