Geonox
Thx, nice to hear that ppl like my models. Well I've just been accepted but have done some concept art allready, still have to upload it. But well see how long I'm going to do it. A few days after I was accepted I posted this idea. But I still wasn't sure if I was going to make this mod. Thought it just stayed with an idea. :P Yeah like I told ya, milkshape is realy easy to use. A lot more easy to use than 3d max. Hope the model works!
UberBender
If you plan on doing a website I could be webmaster. Check out my website and tell me if you like it. (I did everything myself, the link is in my sig) I'm eager to help with this mod and thought this would be a good way. If you accept me I will need to know: 1. Information (description of the mod, who is on the team, etc.) 2. Design (what you want the website to look like, or you can leave that up to me) 3. Your e-mail (to give you updates and such) 4. If you can get a host (I have one for my mod but I can't host yours too, bandwidth issues) 5. Other stuff that I can't remember right now
dunmer_jediknight
I love the ideal of a SW free style game baced on the morrowind engine ( that is what I got from your posts) as to the space travel problem why not have it as a cut scene? When a player gets a ship they set a "cource" for a planet ( this can be as simple as looking on a on-screen map and cliking on a planet or you could have a x-y-z corrd system, this introduces a chance to get lost or "pass throu a star or supernova") and the player then gets a cut scene of a hyper space jump and if at a later time you want to add a option for space battles you could. but as to more planets I would just make them 4km square each (how many people really explore every square inch of morrowind?) In SWG each planet is 14km? each but they have the option to add player cities and from what the posts say three to ten( max) cities per planet would be plenty. For now two planets with three cities each would be plenty and you always would have the option to add more. This is just my opion, best of luck to all of you on this mod. :)
Geonox
@UberBender: You have a very nice site but I'm sorry, I was already designing the site myself ^_^ . So the site is already in production. Hope I can launch it this week. @dunmer_jediknight: Spacetravelling would be nice. But the story for this project takes place on one planet. One of the main reasons is because I'm the only moddeler for this project for now. Everything has to be build for this world. There are no models from morrowind which I'm going to use for this mod. Well mabey a few models like rocks orso but the rest will all have to be moddeled. If I'm going to add more worlds it would be to much work for me to make this all. So mabey if this mod is finished I can always thing about creating plugins, or mabey others are make a plugin for this mod. But still it would be great if spacetravelling was possible. ^_^
websoul
if the timeline of this mod takes place around "a new hope" we could add the empire and the rebellion as the various factions. why is it that there are interior and exterior cells? why cant we combine them so you can look inside a building and look ourside if you are inside. are there tecnical limitations to the engine or is it just for performance that they split them. if it is for performance we could only make the small buildings with and interior. Guest
The Empire never had any interest in Tatooine so they arent an option to use. And without them there isnt really a point in adding Rebels right?
Geonox
how I like to call it iexterior cells :P . This is going to be with lot's of shops and cantina on tatooine. That you can enter a building but that you are still in the exterior cell. But the thing is when it rains outside, the rain will "go through the roof". That means when you are inside a building even though your not looking outside you can still see the rain. But since your on a desert planet you will not see any raindrops. ^_^ Hey I checked the buildings in the game but they didn't looked that nice ingame so what I've done is this: I've made a new texture for the buildings. You can check the difference here:
UberBender
I could help build the cities and other locations. I would tell you to check out Cyrilia for examples but it's not out yet. :D I can build decently so please consider me.
valdir
The Empire never had any interest in Tatooine so they arent an option to use. And without them there isnt really a point in adding Rebels right? "These aren't the droids we're looking for. Move along." Hah, no interest in Tatooine, indeed. ^_^ ~Val
