Crossfire causing face flickering when using SKSE.INI tweak

I'm jumpin' in to bump this.

I've searched the crap out of this flickering face problem. Most threads are a year old but they point to a problem with Crossfire. Supposedly updating Catalyst drivers to 12.1 would fix it. My driver is current [13.8]. It didn't fix mine. Supposedly, turning Crossfire off and running on a single card would fix it. It didn't. One thread said it was connected to a SKSE tweak but I'm not using the tweak. [as far as I know] Another said to change a setting in the INI file; didn't work.

I haven't seen any comments about this being mod/conflict related to CharGen mods. Does anyone know if this problem exists with vanilla? When I played the vanilla version I was in first person. It wasn't until after I modded the game and wanted to see my character that I found the problem. Unchecking all my mods won't give me a true vanilla but I'm gonna start there.

It sucks to spend hours modding the game into a visual paradise and your character walks around with their face flashing like a bad neon light.

I just deleted the line in the INI which solved my issue. I just run with;

[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1
[NotPlacebo]
GiveFirstBornToSheson=1
seems to work just fine, I get this in my skse_loader in mydocuments so the patch seems to work and I get no more flicker no more.

I know this is an old topic, but there is a workaround for this:

Go to ATI settings and create a profile for TESV.exe (there is a default one, but you'll want to override that)

In settings:

Wait for Vertical Refresh -> On, unless application specifies
OpenGL Triple Buffering -> On
Frame Pacing -> On
CrossFireX Mode -> Optimize 1x1
Should get rid of the flicker whilst using tintmasks..
..the reason I decided to post this is because I recently re-installed Oldrim LE and a bunch of mods and had the issue. Took me a while to figure it out again after not playing it for several years.. :happy:
