Deleted40894270User
Hi, I came across this problem installing RandomePal's Beautiful Cities mod. I use OpenMW 0.46 on a Mac (Big Sur 11.2.1) and was using the unarchiver utility to unpack the mods .7z file. When I checked my openmw.log file it seems the wav files included in the mod were not being recognised as an audio file, i.e. I get this error. Failed to load audio from sound/am/am_quillsound.wav: No audio stream info I checked using QuickTime outside the program and the same thing, the file is not recognised as a playable audio file. So I switched to the Decompressor utility to unpack the mod. Now QuickTime recognises the audio file and plays it, but I still get the same error in OpenMW! I've done a quick google search but nothing really comes up on this problem. Anyone come across something similar and any ideas about how to fix the problem? Cheers
Deleted40894270User
I solved this problem in case anyone is interested. I had a typo in the above in that I was using the Mac inbuilt archive utlility to unpack the .7z file. This screws up the wav files in some fashion. Using "The Unarchiver" instead (free software) the wav files are recognised as audio by OpenMW, so all good now.
