I am reckless, meaning I download and add a LOT of MODs for my games at the same time, sometimes as many as two hundred in a single session. I look for any reason why a MOD would not fit my needs or wants before I ask for it to download. If the authors of MODs suddenly start deleting comments they deem negative, posts that might have information I would find useful, it would take me hours longer to add and remove MODs the way I do now. Worse yet, I might have to change how I get MODs, downloading and testing them one at a time, like any rational person would do. I hate change and I did not get into RPGs in order to be rational.

So, while I love your sites and am a premium member (even having paid for other people's premium memberships),while loving nearly every one of your new plans, the moderated comments ideas sounds like it could cause me trouble. I also get that moderating the moderation would be more trouble, so that's not going to happen either. Let me just say to all MOD authors out there, (you KNOW who you are) THANK YOU very much and please have mercy on the comments posted. Many of us rely on both the pluses and minuses in what is written.

Oh, and a HUGE, unpayable THANK YOU for the NEXUS as well. We're Rockin' Your Majesty and We Have You To Thank!!!!!

The thing about IP's and such more than one account. As long as you have more than one email, you can have more accounts. Just saying, it doesnt matter what your IP is or how many times you're banned, etc. Different email, new account. nOObs

Not quite as easy as that. And its really not nice to call people names. What you say may at times get someone back through the door..but inevitably they will do something that gets them caught. We have many ways of figuring out someone is a repeat offender and when we find them they will be banned again.-Lisnpuppy

I think it would become obvious if this was happening. With endorsements, number of downloads and hot files and the like, the mod could have high praise in the comments section but nothing to back it up in terms of other more verifiable forms of information regarding the quality of it.
There's only so much that can be done about things like this, in the end it comes down to common sense and the available information that will help you make decisions. You shouldn't really be relying only on other peoples comments. I've seen comments that indicate that someone hasn't even used the mod but are still praising it simply because they watched the videos or looked at the pictures.
However, if the problem is that there is only a few people to moderate, why not let others become moderators. There are a lot of people, that I have seen, that could be trusted to do this.
