Eiade
so is there really such thing as a liberal republican? cause I havent seen a single one in the U.S. Except maybe the chick on base with my brother who said that our current president makes all conservatives look bad... Well that doesn't neccesarily make her a liberal republican to not like our president. She's just using some common sense. I know a liberal republican. They have opinions from both sides, but have more conservative ones than liberal ones.
Breton Thief Oriana
Then couldnt you classify both liberal republicans and conservative democrats as centerists?
ImmortalSnafu
You didn't put an option far enough to the left to represent my political ideals...so i didn't vote.
DreamOfTheRood
Since the idea of Republicans being 'right' and Democrats being 'left' doesn't particularly work anymore, I'm going to post a link to a good site for the politically lethargic. It's got good information on how to define where you stand politically by way of being conservative, liberal, authoritarian and libertarian. I'm posting this because I often agree with the Republicans moreso than the Dems, even though I lie halfway between authoritarianism and libertarianism and am a bit more liberal than conservative. http://www.politicalcompass.org/

Darnoc
That means we three (I, Surian and ImmortalSnafu) are about in the same Quadrant. ImmortalSnafu is a little more to the extreme, but hell, who cares.
