Hold guards dropping items on ground never disappear

I have a huge issue with this. The guards are either dying (I'm sure they aren't) or just respawning from time to time and dropping all their gear when they do. The gear is starting to add up.

 

I have all the unofficial patches and have no mods directly effecting guards that I know of.

When did this start happening?

Does it happen in every hold, or just some?

Are you using the latest versions of all your Mods?

If not, why not?

Are you using a Steam registered & updated Skyrim?

If so, have you validated your game cache?

Yeah I haven't played skyrim in a while, and am just getting back into it.

 

I have a lot of mods installed but nothing specifically changes guards at all. I also use Boss/Wrye BASH - I generally have to move a few things after BOSS - all to do with enchanting though.

I have the unofficial patches all installed which should rectify odd pieces of equipment, however this stuff never seems to despawn.

I'm not sure exactly when it started happening, but it's also not every time I enter a cell or every time I do anything specific, I'm not sure of the exact trigger at all.

I'm unsure if it's all the holds, but I'll check it out.

And yeah all my mods and skyrim are latest versions.

I might check out validating, but I really think it's more mod related. I'd love to know what's doing it. Perhaps I'll remove some of the more intrusive levelled list mods and rebash and see if it gets fixed.

 

I'm really just after knowing if anyone else is finding the same glitch rather than trying to investigate every mod I have in order to narrow it down - I really wish they'd implement a text dump from NMM of mod lists/order to make things easier.

Funny thing, you made me sit and think - so I went through again checking things like I said that messed with inventory rather than guards.

Glad you found your solution AND shared it! I was going to say that I'd come across someone else having the same problem, but no solution had presented itself.

 

Sorry about the confusion from before, Eck & I both responded to your topic at the same time with pretty much the same suggestions but he beat me to it by a few seconds for the second time in about an hour (different topic the first time), that's why :D

I normally check the help requests in the technical support forum to see if i can help anyone, but I've been very busy these last few weeks, first with Immersive Weapons and now with Immersive Armors.

Your Load Order is held in a .txt file here - C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Skyrim\loadorder

Don't edit it, but you can copy/paste the contents.

I just want to confirm that i am Too having this problem when using Upgraded Weapons and Armors.
