Polymaker
I'm currently converting a relatively simple armor mod from LE to SE and while at it I want to fix an issue that the original mod has. The problem is that somehow when wearing the armor the body paint on my character get wrapped around the armor itself.I'm new to skyrim modding and I don't know where to look. Here is a comparison between an armor from another mod and the one I'm trying to fix: Any help appreciated.
Hanaisse
That wouldn't be an issue with the conversion. Have you tried going into Racemenu to re-apply the bodypaint or test other bodypaints?
Polymaker
That wouldn't be an issue with the conversion. Have you tried going into Racemenu to re-apply the bodypaint or test other bodypaints? I does this with every body paint I tried (from multiple mods). The bug existed in Oldrim (with the original mod) so it this not from the conversion. I don't understand how it can happen but the armor seems to override the UV mappings for the overlays. Is there such thing as UV layers? If so the armor is maybe using an "UV layer" reserved for body overlays.I'm new to the NIF format so I don't know how and where to look to find out. Polymaker
I found wat was causing the problem...In Outfit Studio I found out that the shader type was set to "Skin Tint". I changed that to "Default" and it fixed the issue.I can't believe it was that simple! I also cannot understand why the original author had chosen this shader type... oh well...
