hair and textures wigging out

The title says it all. MY character's hair isn't what's wigging out though, nor are any of her textures. It's everyone/everything else. Outfit textures will pop in and out, vanilla hair textures will partially load. This happens particularly during the cutscene at Ostagar when Cailen meets my character for the first time. Textures popping in and out are random. I administered the 4gb fix on the game today to stop the constant crashes and hoped it would make the textures not do what it's been doing. But to no avail. I don't know if it's a bunch of mods not being able to play nice. I have Dragon Age Redesigned on aesthetics, as well as JB3. I have more hairstyles and hairstyle day new installed, but that wouldn't be messing with the vanilla styles I don't think. Have pinapple tree's mods for the makeup and haircolors and some skin tone fixes.

 

So I'm a bit perplexed to say the least. My laptop should be able to run this with no problem, as it's a fairly new model that has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650.

 

So any help would be more than welcome. I just want to do a playthrough, romance Alistair and then die! lol

Have you tried different graphic settings?

Remove the JB3 textures and see if the issue goes away. (The textures from the mod are notoriously buggy and known to cause memory issues and crashing, even with the 4GB/LAA patch.)

 

You might instead consider something like this list of texture replacers, which will improve the worst of the vanilla textures without drastically altering the games aesthetics. (And which were unproblematic when I used them on a 10 year old potato PC.)

Thanks you two. I actually figured out the issue. I downloaded the wrong LAA file. I put in the right one, adjusted some settings and have had zero crashes and zero wigging out of textures. I do plan on replacing JB3 though with something else.
