FALLOUT 3 STARTING POINT CRASH

First of all, I'd like to sincerely apologize for posting another crash thread. My problem with FO3 just seems a little more specific than the other post I've seen. So here whats wrong.

 

I would start a new game perfectly fine. I would go through the entire tutorial fine and dandy. I get to the point where I'm exiting the vault and it would feeze at different points, but I can't exit. I would do my best to leave but I'd freeze before I reach the door. Any solutions? Thank you so much :)

Freezing in Fallout 3 is most often down to the Fallout 3 multi core bug.

Fallout 3 has trouble with multi core computers, mainly with ones that have more than two cores & use hyperthreading.

 

If you've got a multi core computer then it's possibly your trouble.

There is a fix, you need to edit your Fallout 3 .ini file.

The one you want to change is:

For XP:

My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\

For Vista & Win7:

Documents\My Games\Fallout3

The file you want will be called:

FALLOUT.ini

Open the .ini with Notepad & change this line:

bUseThreadedAI=0

to:

bUseThreadedAI=1

& insert this line under it:

iNumHWThreads=2

Save & close your ini.

hi sorry to get on the forms but the problome i have and sorry about spelling but whin i start the fallout 3 in stem i get the start minu and than i click start and it gust stops the game will not loud up
