General Newbie Mod troubles

I'm having problems with modding my game. I'll say my problems. I can't seem to get it to load when I start-up my game. I have NOMM, and have gotten a few to work. It's re-textures or new weapons that wont load when I get them set-up. Am I doing it right?

It's simply copy and paste; Moving the "Textures and Meshes" Folders and the .Esp to the /Data (just Data for me). I look around and try to find the weapon I've downloaded to no avail. I tried to put a Shotgun in my game, and needed an alternative rifle animation for it to work, okay, so I go and download the animations and set the folders in, then get the Shotgun and do the same. The .Esp shows up but it wont load in game; Nada, Zilch. I just don't get it. I'm quite frustrated with it and want some help.

I got Realistic lighting to work. I got Yurts wasteland overhaul, and that works. A Ranger armor that's factionless. I have multiple ones working but can't get the Guns to show up and load.

Do I copy what's in the folders or them all together?

I seem to have gotten the mod "leather backpack" working but it shows up as a massive exclamation symbol, how can I fix this?

 

I had a freeze up, not a crash, just a straight-up freeze. I can't figure out why.

 

i'm going to delete non-essential mods. I keep having it show up as "Pip-boy" error. Realistic lighting, weapon Resolution, and Yurt's Verdant Wasteland are all I can get to work without error. I'll stick to those until I find out how to fix it all (or someone here helps me).

I still can't get anything to run correctly, and I'm still having problems with anything besides re-textures of the game. I cannot get weapons up and running.
