Stupid Question: How Does One Create/Add Custom Head Parts?

I've made a topic with the same issue. Creating custom head mrophs. I haven't recieved a reply yet. Definately following this topic.

If it's any help to anybody, I know that the .tri files are used for character morphs, and they can be edited in programs liek blender by downloading an add-on. (Such as this one: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14589 )

I've tried a similar method a while ago, when I was into modifying hair. Didn't seem to work for me. Plus, for some reason, this kind of things are designed for a really outdated version of Blender which I have no idea how to work with (it's stupid, alright).

Well, guess I'll just drop this idea then since all the trouble doesn't seem to worth it in the end.

Thanks for your help.

This is a masssssive subject I'm intimately involved with and should really sit down to write a breakdown about, but.. I've got some morph-related things posted up on my blog at http://nuskamods.tumblr.com and more in the mod archive tag link leading back to my main personal blog.

I've found Blender to be subpar for working with morphs, I've gradually built a comprehensive setup with 3ds Max that lets me control each morph state as an individual mesh that link back to a 'core' model and the associated headparts. It involves a small Nexus file called Animation Tools, lots of elbow grease and trial and error.

I see, nuska.

But since I can't possibly afford Autodesk 3ds Max and I'm even less likely to understand how to use it, I'll just forget about my idea, for now at least. If I had a friend skilled in this area, I'd ask them, but I do not, so... *shrug*

Because I assume asking of such somebody who barely knows me is way too rude, and I doubt I'd be able to repay their kindness. Sigh... don't know what was I expecting by coming here.

Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it!

I'm not suggesting you should lie about being a student. I'm just pointing out the student license is free.

As for learning how to... well there is the internet. It's full of tutorials. With that and determination, people have learned just about anything about anything. The only people who can't are those who sit around and say "Well, I can't".

...Oh. I didn't know there was a free version! However it's not the matter of 'I can't' it's just that it seems too much scrupulous work for such a small task as simply shortening the Khajiit's nose. Heh... I dunno. I'm pessimistic. Nevermind, I guess. Thanks for help!
