random expression/body glitch

I just started the quest where I had to infiltrate Mercer's house and I was about to leave the Ragged Flagon when I noticed my character's facial expression was messed up. This happens to me all the time and I can usually fix it by entering 'mfg expression 1' or 'mfg reset' in the console. This time, however, it didn't work. I restarted the game and now my characters body has turned purple. Cleaning the saves has no effect. While I can fix the body glitch by loading an earlier save the messed up facial expression persists. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'll be honest, other peoples mod lists end with my eyes being crossed. So, without going through your entire mod list (call me lazy if you like)

 

try this

 

1) hit shift-backspace (turns random expression off, if your title means that you're using DAR random expressions)

2) wait a few seconds, then hit shift-backspace again (turns it back on)

 

that usually resets my character's expression when it hangs up.

 

Also, just in case you're using both MFG and oppcaro, note that the two in conjunction can end with "broken" expressions

 

And lastly, some NSFW mods have settings which can lead to hung expressions (ex: SL, OSA/OSex, etc.)

turns out the problem was missing parts for my characters head sculpt, which is strange because I know everything matched up before...

I'm using the Dark Elf Natsh High-Poly preset (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38703)

 

I tried reinstalling all of the preset's requirements but it didn't make a difference.

well, on that I can't help at all, as I don't use highpoly (just an improved vanilla mesh for females and another for males, which work just fine for me)
