custom hair not showing up,then turning character bald

welp, this is more to my race thread but i figured this problem was odd enough to deserve a quick thread.

i made a custom hair mesh in blender, loaded and saved via nifskope, adding in the right texture, fine tuning the UV coordinates. i added it to my custom race in the CSE. but when i load it in character creation, not only will it not show up at all,but when i go to switch her eye colr a moment later she turns completely bald, and subsequent hair switches dont fix the problem

ive got the hair mesh and texture ready to go if anyone wants to be super nice and help fix it for me

Well one thought I have is to make the hair into a helmet or wig and that way you do not need to cover her head with anything else. I use wigs as helmets myself for both my char and all companions. They do have very very strong hair... Not only that as it do looks very good as well, much better than using helmets really.

wait, there must be a way to make more hairstylesto make the egm, tri, and egt files in addition to the nif. i see plenty of fancy hairstyles out there, sometimes as part of race packs that can be selected from the hair switch in character creation

ok,ive been awake for far too long,im have to call it a night.the generated files fro mthe conformulator program dont work, everytime i try to load it up in the cse it causes it to crash. if you come up with any ideas or want to see the files and/or mesh, let me know

welp,im getting closer, the magic bullet so far has been shoving my custom trishapedata into the darkelfmane hair file, which for some odd reason is allowing me to reposition the whole mess effectively in blender
