Make Cole Younger

Hello, I have a request for a mod.

 

Something that has always bothered me about Cole is his appearance doesn't really match the description of him in Asunder.

 

For people who don't know his(the real Cole's) story from Asunder please read the following from the wiki:

 

"Cole was around twelve years old, when his father attempted to kill him. He had blamed Cole's mother, for Cole having "evil" in him, referring to his magic. Cole hid from his father along with his younger sister Bunny in a wardrobe, unfortunately Cole accidentally killed her while trying to keep her quiet. Cole later killed his father by sinking a dagger into his heart. The dagger had originally belonged to his mother, the only piece of the wilder folk she'd kept.

The templars arrested Cole after the deaths of his family, and placed him in the dungeons of the White Spire, as was customary for young mages who have deliberately caused injury or death to others.

While an inquiry was supposed to follow his arrest, a new templar filled out the paperwork incorrectly, which resulted in Cole being placed in one of the most remote cells and forgotten about. He eventually starved to death, but not before meeting a spirit of compassion, who came to him, for it was so moved by his cry's for help. Cole thanked the spirit for coming to him, before dying"

With this said the body that Cole should be imitating should be that of a 12 year old boy.

So my request is, is it possible to make a mod that makes Cole look like he is actually 12, and not a broad shouldered, taller than solas/dorian man.

Is it possible to

A) swap his body model with that of Kieran's. This would be Ideal if possible, but I foresee other problems arising like armors not working on that model.

or

B) Switch his body model with that of a dwarf, so at the very least he is shorter, this way all the armor's should work still. I don't know if you can make a bod skinnier as well, as the dwarf model is pretty stocky looking, or maybe a person could try the female body?

I unfortunately am not very good with mod making, I hope this is possible.

Hmmm...

 

1. Based on the excerpts from "Assunder" that you quoted and paraphrased, it's not clear how long after we learn Cole was "around twelve years old" that he actually died in the White Spire. (Although maybe this is made more clear in the full text?)

 

2. During the "Trespasser" DLC, Cole is in a romantic relationship with another NPC. That wouldn't be at all appropriate for a 12 y-o. :tongue:

1) I'll just quote the book for this, Chapter 12, "Inside crouched a filthy young boy, perhaps twelve years in age and with shaggy blond hair hanging in front of his eyes. His face was filled with stark terror. Wide eyes having long drained of tears that now stained his cheeks...and worst of all, a little girl was squeezed in there with him. She was half his age, held in a crushing grip, with one hand clamped over her mouth as if to keep her quiet. Only she was dead."

 

Now this was a memory projected by Cole in the book, they're in the Fade in chapter 12, what happens in the rest of chapter 12 is different then the real events. The reason the real Cole is taken to the tower is because of these murders/deaths of his family, which Spirit Cole is remembering. So the time that passes is: however long it took for them to arrest him, take him to the tower, throw him in a cell, then starve to death. Lets just say at most that takes 6 months. Asunder takes place in 9:40 Dragon where Cole is the Demon of the Spire which Rhys has befreinded for 1 year., so logically Real Cole was brought there and died at most 1 year prior to the events of Asunder. Inquisition take place in 9:41 Dragon. Only a year passes since that story. So based on that Cole should at most be 13-14 years old, and thats going with the the idea that Spirit Cole naturally ages. Other wise he is 12-13. Spirit Cole aging makes sense if you turn him more human, vs making him more spirit lore wise. If the elves truly were Spirits first, that manifested into beings, then aging makes sense for More Human Cole, cause he is a modern version of that process.

 

2)I don't feel this is that big of a issue, nothing is really shown between the two of them sexually, only dialogue really tells you they are together. Plus if more human Spirit Cole does age, Trespasser takes place 2 years later, so he would be 14-16 by that time anyways. This is a medieval setting that is not out of the realm of believability.

 

I just feel Cole should have been very physically similar to Atreus from God of War 4 lore wise.

 

Anyways, it would be a nice continuity MOD if someone could make it.
