starwarswins
I've been messing with a weapon in the GECK. Even when setting spread to zero, I'm still getting idle sway and the laser is still hitting below and to the right of the crosshair. I want to make it hit directly in the center of the screen and not sway at all. How do I do this? Is it an animation thing?
jazzisparis
Is it an animation thing?Possibly. Try this. On a side note: Because of the way it is calculated, spread can never, truly, be zero. Even if you set a weapon's minimum spread to 0, have maximum skill, and crouching, there will still be spread (even if very low). BTW why the double post? Let me give you a screenshot example. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998319545/screenshots/ You can see how it's not even hitting the center. This is me going full auto. jazzisparis
Set the weapon to use one of the vanilla projectiles, then test in-game, see if it still happens. It is possible that the weapon actually does hit where it is supposed to, and that only the ray appears to hit lower - possibly because the mesh it uses is not properly aligned with one (or more) of the axes. Nope, it's still doing the same thing. Tried it with regular laser. Are you sure it isn't animation or something? And there's no way to remove sway? jazzisparis
Are you sure it isn't animation or something? If the same issue doesn't happen with other weapons of the same type, then I don't think it's animation related. And there's no way to remove sway?I highly doubt spread/sway have anything to do with it. From what you describe, the weapon persistently hits at the same spot, but lower from where the crosshair is aimed at. I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. It may be something in the weapon's model - maybe the projectile node was not set correctly.

Alright! I used a script to give the weapons the steady chem effect, so I got rid of sway. But it is still hitting below and to the left. And now that I'm checking, the Laser RCW is doing the same thing...
