computerguy12
I installed 4GB mod (35262) because the newer 4GB mod (62552) doesn't work for me and now when I look at items, no description pops up (e.g., Mailbox (empty), Ammunition Box, etc.).I'm not sure what went wrong or how to fix it. dubiousintent
If the only thing that changed was the 4GB patch file you used, then you should address why the newer version did not work for you. Why do you say that? What error messages did you get? That said, there should not any reason for the patch to affect item descriptions. It only modifies a bit flag in the header of the FalloutNV.exe file so it can use more than 2GB of memory. The later version simply provides broader compatibility with GOG and supports loading NVSE. Strongly suspect something else changed in your setup, such as you updated a mod previously installed. We REALLY need to see a sorted "load order" (such as produced by "LOOT"); to include the main game and DLC files. (Screenshots don't work so well for the purpose.) With modded games its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the on-line documentation under "Metadata". Instructions on how to copy it's list for posting are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.-Dubious- Edited March 8, 2021 by dubiousintent
