scarycave
I'm trying to get certain mp3 sounds to play during conversations, I have mp3 files, and I have the paths set up correctly but they still don't play in-game. Is there something special you have to do for an mp3 file before it can play correctly?
WarRatsG
CS wiki says: "The game uses mp3 files with the settings 44khz / mono/ 64 Kbit/s for voices."
scarycave
It's weird, I managed to get one sound working - but when I copied and pasted the same sound it wouldn't work for the other dialouges...I recently switched out the sound - and forgot where it was, so now the creature I'm working on is completely silent. Is there a place where I can find the right type of mp3's?
WarRatsG
Did you download these mp3s by using "save file as" on a link, then putting .mp3 at the end of the name? I tried that with wavs for sound effects once. It doesn't work. Try playing the mp3s without an internet connection - you may find that they don't work. If so, then you have a link to an mp3, not an mp3. Other than that I dont know what it could be.
scarycave
I've tried looking around and haven't been able to get anything...I guess most sites that offer stock sound effects aren't the right format.Has anyone had any experience in putting a new mp3 in that would be willing to shed some light on this?
