sophiextime Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Hey everyone. I wanted to ask if anyone is finding that after a while they make no footstep sounds. I cant understand whats doing it as i have no mods installed that touch audio or sound. They work fine for about 30 minutes of gameplay but then randomly the sound of my foot steps just stops and the only way i can ever get them back is restarting the game. I have tried vaildating /repairing my game but its soemthing i cant ever seem to fix. Any help at all?
sweatyelephantballs Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 May have to do with the Zero Drag clothing mod. I notice silence when running but noise when walking. I have wondered too and need to test more.
malisbad1 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Happens to me all the time. Once in a while I can get the sound to kick back in by jumping around, but usually only a full quit & relaunch of the game will bring it back. F'n stupid...
larsieman1988 Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Yeah this bug has absolutely no priority at CDPR, it's really annoying, apparently it bugs out stealth too cause enemies won't hear your footsteps

It seems like certain areas of the map dont have footstep sounds for V and other times it seems like reloading any save will cause all footstep sound to go mute. IDK but it is kind of ridiculous that CDPR has nothing to say about it. I guess they have a s#*! ton of bugs to squash but you would think this would be a big one that stands out.
