mewmew34 Posted April 21, 2013 Share Posted April 21, 2013 I got an Ancient pickaxe last night, and it seems to be causing problems with mining. Everything seemed fine at first. After geting the pick I went back to the mine I had just helped reopen in Raven Rock. I mined a few ebony ore, and then went down into the ruins to find the stalhrim I'd had to leave behind before. When I got to them, I couldn't mine them. I had to equip the ancient pick and attack the ore in order to mine it. When I tried to mine more regular ore, that wouldn't work either and I had to again equip a pick and attack the ore. I just tested, and it seems I can mine regular ore if I drop the ancient pick. I haven't found more stalhrim to see if I can mine that by dropping the regular pick. Is it supposed to work this way or is this a glitch? Am I really only going to be allowed to carry one or the other, and not both? I'm hoping there's some way to fix this so that it will just use the proper pick based on what I'm mining.
