I purchased Fallout 3 today and I have found two errors before I even leave Vault 101.

Error 1)When Paul Hannon approaches you right after receiving the Pip-Boy at the tenth Birthday party, the game crashes just before he speaks.

Error 2)I have made it past this error only once to find that when I use my Pip-Boy I cannot exit it.

I use Windows Vista Home Premium,my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 7100.My computer runs above the recommended setup,I also have MANY problems with several games crashing randomly,if there is a Windows patch for any of this please tell me.i am in dire need of help.

This sounds like there is an issue with your computer. Is it overclocked? Does it have adequate cooling (overheating can cause instability) Is your direct x,video drivers, chipset drivers, and any other drivers up to date? What are your full computer specks?

I'm not sure what overclocked is,I'm not good with this kind of thing, but I believe my DirectX is up to date and I'm not sure how to give computer specs,I know that overheating isn't an issue,it's a fairly new computer and all of the games made for Windows Vista have yet to work correctly,I will look into DirectX and the others to see if they are all up to date, thanks for the help so far.

Sounds like a sound issue to me. Do you have onboard sound? Look into buying a Creative Soundcard.

Got the same issue with lil' Paulie. The game crashes halfway into his "Aw man..." line. It used to work just fine before I got into modding the game. Now, even with a wiped no-modded version, it still crashes.

CPU is overclocked, tried without, didn't help. Onboard sound chip, Vista32.
