  • I'm having problems to, I got the game crashed because it wasn't compatible with windows 8. Fixed that then got the mod manager and started getting mods, well then due to this I now can't open fallout due to it crashing and I have tried pretty much everything anybody seems to be suggesting.

the .ini will not generate unless you first try to launch the game from the default game launcher.

once you do that, a pop up window will appear saying that it will detect your video card and set the graphics settings accordingly, then will say to what preset your settings have been set to.

once that has been done, you can then play the game from either the default launcher, FOMM/NVMM, or FOSE

if so, and there IS no .ini file present, this should pop up:

once that is done, this should pop up:

once that is done, press play and the FALLOUT.ini file will be generated

if it didnt work, go to Documents\My Games\Fallout3 and delete the files Renderer Info, Fallout Prefs, and try again
