Some kind of berries that give a boost to some stats/abilities but penalties to others at the same time? Like more strength but less agility etc. Also, giant venus flytrap type things that will try to snap up a player. And add in some quests from a doctor for example to go find some specific kind of berry/plant to cure someone else from a disease etc. The berry bushes don't have to be all over, maybe only around some of the old farms or camping grounds?
