Deleted771212User
How do I automatically generate forests in CK so I dont have to place every rock and tree one by one? I think the Oblivion CS had a feature like this but I just can't understand how it is done in CK. Im creating a whole new worldspace based on a modders resource island. McclaudEagle
I have never seen a way to do this. The closest thing there is to something like this is if you were to make a whole bunch of trees into a SCOL (Select objects, then Ctrl+G) and just use that. You'll need to keep placing SCOLs of those trees, but at least it'll take less time.
Deleted771212User
Hard to believe that every stone and tree was handplaced in oblivion and skyrim...
McclaudEagle
Wouldn't surprise me. However, you have to remember that the game developers had access to the full engine, modders only get access to a small portion of that which ends up being an editor (GECK, Creation Kit). There will be a lot of features the engine has that the editors don't. The engine may well have something that allows you to paint trees on rather than hand place them, but the editor doesn't.
