Visibly equipable Guns

So Ive been looking around the Nexus for a mod that allows you to equip your guns, However have not been able to find one. Now by equip your guns I mean visibly see more then one gun on your character As in make it so you could possibly equip a rifle for mid range combat, Then your sniper rifle for long range combat, and your pistol for close range combat all at the same time so you could see them on your character. I would be very grateful if someone who is much more experienced then me would make the mod. thank you.

This would be a very tricky mod for most anyone I would think. You'd essentially have to create a new method of equipping stuff since you'd not be able to take the values of what is equipped from within the standard equipment system since the standard system limits you to one weapon at a time.

There was a mod for fallout 3 called HERK (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/7531) which allowed you to have multiple weapons equiped.

The couriers cache (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/49531) mod also has outfits where a brush gun and ranger revolver can be equipped when not in use

devinpatterson (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47066) also made a mod that you can have a brush gun equiped when holstered

The problem is you need to make a holsted mesh for every gun in the game (which it's hard enough to do for 1 gun). Also any mod made would not work with mod added weapons or retexes of the the orginal weapons. This is probably why no one has attempted it on a large scale.

I didn't really worry about a holster for any of the weapons, mostly because of the work involved, but also because I wanted them to look exactly like the default/vanilla weapons behavior.....I still believe that's the best/smoothest solution.

But one nice thing, is that once you have the values for a specific weapon at a specific point (back, hip etc) on the body, you can use them with similar weapons without much effort at all. So for instance if I can find my notes for the positions on teh brushgun (slung diagonally across the back, butt up by left shoulder) it will work for all rifles of similar size & position; medicine stick, la longue, hunting rilfe, trail carbine, service rifle etc etc.

On the con side, it may be necessary to make 3 different versions for each weapon. 1 each for light, 1 for medium and 1 for heavy armor (or at least 2 versions, 1 for light, 1 for medium/heavy), otherwise there may be some pretty bad clipping.

If I get time again, I'll start up on the apocalyptic cowboy outfits and will include cowboy related weapons displayed on them. I don't mind transferring the values to non cowboy weapons of roughly the same size and shape, for other themes/weapons for the player.
