CyniCasual
So what would you guys think of a mod that basically just takes the "Steel Plate Helmet" for the Steel Plate armour set (duh) and adds a fur hood to it? You know, like this! (behold my epic paint skills) Thoughts?
lordburnch
I like the idea but there is already a mod like that its called Aesir armor I believe its still in the hot files as of today. One of the helm options is a steel plate helm which you can place a bear/sabercat/wolf of your choice hood over it.
MightyZ0G
there is also the hood in the Einherjar armour from the same authoralthough that uses the steel helmet rather than the plate
CyniCasual
Yeah, it's actually the Steel Plate Helmet "version" of the Aesir armor that gave me the idea for this particular combination. I had the whole Aesir armor set equipped, but swapped the head piece for the fur hood and thought it looked really great. The only thing missing was that awesome looking Steel Plate Helmet (without the "wings") underneath it. :)
DIZNII
Tried to make this myself via using Outfit Studio to clip off the wings of the steel plate helmet, then swapped out the nifs and textures from an existing mask mod for my own (didn't want to mess around with making an .esp (which I have no idea how to do.) My idea was to have the "helmet" tagged in game as a circlet, thus allowing it to be worn underneath any hood. It did show up in game as a circlet, with stats etc., but will not appear on my character when equipped. I kept all the file names and file structure identical to the original mod, simply replaced the actual content of the mesh and texture files. Can anyone give me an idea what I might have done wrong? (Or better yet, maybe someone who actually knows what they're doing wants to take a crack at delivering this very niche but badly-needed mod?) :D Edited October 2, 2018 by DIZNII
