Vesperos
Why is it that I am unable to see certain meshes that were already in oblivion? I notice that when certain mods are put into my oblivion, some armor pieces or clothing become completely invisible when I or another NPC equip them. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I stuck with invisible clothing forever?
ihateregisteringeverywhere
Could you perhaps list the mods that do this?
Vesperos
Im not quite sure which mods do this. All of a sudden I just went on oblivion and eventually realized some clothes were invisible when equipped. What I mean is that when I first activate mods it seems certain pieces of armor, clothing, etc. seem to disappear. The items are equippable with no problems, just they make the parts it covers completely invisible.
dezdimona
sounds like you installed the texture files wrong, only other way that happens is with a mismark in the cs. Double check your install.
Vesperos
I'm not sure if it would be the texture files being installed wrong. It just started happening yesterday.
bben46
An invisible piece of clothing or anything else that is invisible means the game cannot find the proper texture file needed for that object. :wallbash: Either it was installed wrong, or the mod forgot to include it. As other people probably use the mods you haven't told us are giving the problem, I have to assume the first. :whistling: Most likely, there is a new folder in your data folder with the name of the mod. It shouldn't be there. don't delete it yet! Look inside of that folder and copy the subfolders you find there named textures and meshes Into the data folder. You will probably get a message warning you that it is going to overwrite files. always answer yes or yes to all. It will NOT overwrite, it will add the new files to the existing folders without overwriting anything. Do the same with any other folders there. Then, I recommend not deleting the folder, but moving it to a safe place as a back up just in case it still doesn't work or you have a problem later. This is the most common reason for textures and meshes not showing up. People inexperienced with adding mods panic when they see that message about overwriting files and answer NO! That is probably a good idea if you don't know what is going to be overwritten with other programs, but it causes problems with mods.
