Champion of Cyrodiil's True Reward

I feel that as Champion of Cyrodiil, you're basically being screwed over. Protect the Emperor's heir. Risk life and limb to save everyone from Daedric invasion. Lives saved in every kingdom, all thanks to your actions. And, all you get is a set of fancy armor? Oh, and you get every other random idiot calling you "Champion", or "Hero", and sniffing your butt everywhere you go..

Where are the perks?

That's where this mod request comes in. Yes, there have been some mods which grant you a player home, or enhance various rewards for quests. This isn't one of them. Here's what I am thinking. My idea, when you show up to get your armor, in addition, there is a note sitting on the table, written by the leader of the Elder Council.

It says something to the effect of..

"Champion, I've had many days to consider the sacrifices and effort you have put into your deeds on behalf of our kingdom. You not only saved our empire, you have acted in defense of every living thing, man or beast, in Tamriel. This cannot be rewarded simply with a set of armor, I believe. So, giving this matter much thought, I have decided to spare no expense for ensuring that the Champion of Cyrodiil feels truly and deeply blessed by the people of this world. Please travel to ______, and find out about your true reward.."

The "______", of course, is up to the modder. The player goes to the specified location, and finds out about further perks. My idea is that you would go to somewhere in the Imperial City, or otherwise nice and 'important' to the main quest line, in keeping with the feel of this being a result of the main quest.

What I would like to be a part of that reward, is a private estate. You can buy all sizes of homes in various cities around Cyrodiil, so I think merely adding another house isn't good enough. I'm thinking of a walled estate, with a small to medium castle inside for the player. A 'Legion Contingent' of 4 soldiers in Legion armor, plus a commander. Two maids for the castle, similar to Eyja, that can offer food and drink. And, a merchant. These could be CM-based, or however you like. I suggest CM Partners, because I'd like the option of taking one or more of your staff with you, on adventures. So the ability to get one of them to follow you around and change their gear would be handy.

Now, for icing on the cake..

At the estate, preferably in the great hall of your castle, you find (wait for it) another note. In addition to the armor, the Elder Council has decided to offer up a weapon and shield to go along with it. An enchanted Akaviri Katana, and enchanted shield.

I'll leave the enchantments open to design, but something really nice. The shield should fit with the Imperial Dragon Armor, though. At least look nice like it belongs part of it.

I realize Oblivion might be an afterthought for some, but I love this game. And, I'll be patient. :-)

Thanks for viewing/reading, and I hope someone can make this happen for me, and for anyone else who felt shafted when they completed the main quest (vanilla). Think of the feeling. You save the world from demons and death, and they give you a new suit.. And it's not even enchanted.

Note: I didn't want to request enchanted Dragon Armor, because I figured there'd be less modding work if you didn't have to mess with the armor they give you. However, if you're feeling generous, go ahead. :-) Please.

Thanks, XenocideSoldier. I hope this can be made. I just really think with all the generic side quests often giving you enchanted items and such, that the main quest reward should be scaled up that much better than the others. I mean, you get a magic ring for killing 10 slaughterfish. You get a magic ring for finding a hidden treasure in Rosethorn Hall, without killing anything. :-)

Like I said, I don't want to ask for anything unrealistic. Just figure with armor only the Emperor can wear, you should have an estate and staff. Kind of making you a noble.

If all you want is a full working estate as your reward, you may want to look into 'Verona House: Bloodlines' - It is an estate for the champion - you cannot even start the quest until you are champion. The estate includes a village (Verona Bay) larger than any other in the game complete with NPCs - with a huge manor house, full staff, companions, tavern, Inn, store, chapel, apothecary, guard barracks, fishing pier, several houses, garden, stables, full backstory and history, much more. All you have to do is complete a quest that is bigger than KOTN.

I've got Verona House. I wanted something that ties directly into the main quest, and Verona House is huge, and makes less sense from a scaled perspective. Something the size of Lord Drad's estate makes more sense than town-sized Verona. I guess I'm looking for 'goldilocks' here. Not too big, not too small.

this was done once (very poorly)

nice idea defenetley need a more epic award

i was even thinking the "gchampion armor" could have been given to you on a small ceremony in front of the imperial city palace,

with several guards (or even citicens) gathered to watch (like when martin arrives in cloud ruler temple)

anyways, without overimmagining things, a house that does not conflict with FCOM or Better cities would be nice.

Or maybe, your own chamber in the palace itself
