DexGoggles
Hi there, I'm coming back to oblivion after not playing with it at all since 2009, and with the recent release of Skyrim and the graphical update, I find it hard to play the game with such blocky looking characters. As such, I have been trying to install the HGEC mod seen here:http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/15802 To try and improve how the women look in-game, before I tackle the men. I believe that I am using this mod correctly, however when I try to use the texture pack that the author of HGEC is using, seen here:http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/20022 I am unable to actually utilize the textures. I downloaded the 2048X2048 full package as well as the face textures (the first and 3rd to last files when you look at the file tab), and used the auto installer function that the mod comes with. As for the HGEC mod itself, I am using the Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM Extended 10-12-24) to run both the mod and my game. I believe that I have the HGEC mod installed correctly, because i can manipulate the body type of the females between the 4 options, as well as change breast size, ass size, whatnot. However, I am certain the textures are not loading correctly, as there is a distinct color difference between the head and the rest of the body, as well as the body looking nothing like the screenshots in the HGEC mod. If it helps, I am using the Steam GOTY edition of Oblivion, and the install path that the auto installer wants to use is:C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data. Also I have tried using the BSA redirection utility, but i dont think it's doing anything for the texture package. Please help me with my problem if you can, I apologize if the post is hard to read, English is not my first language. I will be happy to provide screenshots of what I am seeing if it will be a benefit.
shinobi2008
Ozmo provided the installation tool along with his texture pack. If you are not sure how to install it manually (not recommended) then use that tool. It's fairly straight forward. Just follow the instruction on that nexus page.
