glitching vanilla textures

nevermind, I have traced my problem to an errant esm file loading after some esp files. Let this be a lesson to everybody: Fallout 3 is very picky about load orders. look through the load order for issues FIRST, before wasting hours looking for conflicts with FO3edit. Even the simplest file out of place can snowball into larger issues

I have a lot of mods for fallout 3 enabled. My game is pretty stable, especially after this newest patch.

recently I have encountered weird "mini-crashes" that would start like:

("mini-crash" definition: game/program fubars itself tho the point that you'd think it SHOULD have crashed, but doesn't)

1. while in the pipboy, some icons would be purple (the "no-texture-found color";vanilla ones too), upon closing the pipboy:

2. sometimes without warning, after entering/exiting an interior cell:

conversation is impossible, scripted weapons do not work, the ESC key does not respond, saving is not possible (quicksave, autosave, and console save don't respond), textures disappear or change (NPCs, player, weapons; almost anything with a texture) (creatures tweak out severely; they have random textures, everything from the pipboy screen to rocks and car tires), weapon sounds do not work, or are delayed by 5+ seconds, fast travel CTDs, but moving between cells is still possible by foot

the only thing I can do at this point is hope that my last quicksave was recent, and quit the game using the console qqq comand

I have tried to find the source of this odd and annoying occurrence, but no one mod even touches all aspects of this (using FO3ediit)

only one mod that touches even half these issues, but even before I installed that mod this would happen

What/How would this happen?
